Job Description
Job Title: Functional Safety Engineer
Education: B.E / B-Tech / M.E / M-Tech
Experience: 5 + years and above in automotive/aerospace
Skill Set: Functional Safety
Must have:
- Working experience with the ISO 26262 product development lifecycle with focus on Parts 4, 5 & 6 development.
- Proven experience with developing ISO 26262 work products.
- Hands on experience related to Automotive Embedded Software development and in performing safety-oriented analysis such as software FTA, DFMEA and DFA.
- Experience in general automotive ECUs, components, features, and operations to work with safety critical systems.
Good to have:
- Experience with ADAS Safety SW development.
- Experience with modelling tools such as Magic Draw and Medini.
- Experience with Model based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
- Good knowledge about automotive systems and product development.
- Experience in development of aerospace safety systems.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR standard development, C/C++ coding.
- Experience with Agile and V-Model software development methodologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the development and lead the analysis of functional safety software for different features.
- Perform functional safety software FTA using tools like Medini per ISO Part 4 & Part 6 guidelines.
- Perform functional safety software DFMEA per ISO 26262 Part 4 & Part 6 guidelines.
- Perform safety management activities per ISO 26262 Part 2.
- Participate in the software design review meetings to support the software developer for functional safety software.
- Perform functional safety analysis from concept stage to implementation stage and develop the corresponding work products per Ford functional safety guidelines.
- Lead the development and modelling of the above work products in Magic Draw.
