Hiring for a General Manager – Accounts & Finance for an RBI-registered investment NBFC.

Role details:

• Title / Designation: General Manager – Accounts & Finance
• Location: Chennai
• Work Mode: In-office

Role & responsibilities:

• Lead the finance and accounts team in end-to-end financial management, compliance, and reporting functions.
• Oversee statutory compliance in line with IND AS, RBI, GST, Income Tax, and ROC requirements.
• Handle financial reporting, audits (internal & statutory), tax filings, and ensure timely financial closure.
• Present MIS, statutory calendars, and board meeting reports to directors.
• Ensure robust internal controls and risk mitigation across financial and operational domains.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, CS, and regulatory authorities.
• Mentor and guide junior finance team members; foster a high-performance work culture.
• Coordinate philanthropic financial activities of the associated Trusts.

Candidate requirements:

• Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 20+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5–7 years in senior roles.
• Prior experience in NBFCs, family offices, or small private investment firms preferred.
• Hands-on expertise in IND AS, RBI compliance, taxation (direct & indirect), GST, audit, ROC filings.
• Familiarity with Tally and Excel is essential.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
