Our CLIENT It is a sewing company who owns production workshops including a cutting workshop, a thermal transfer site, a printing workshop, a sewing workshop, is looking for a production director to R. of Moldova from Romania.   This is an opportunity to be promotted to General manager into an expanssion role and to work directly with the owner of the company who has already developped a very famous brand in a neighbour country. 

This is a new (expansion role) and will coordinate the board of management with 350 Employees.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Client plans to start sewing for big Western European companies such as ZARA, M&S etc. The local general management must be upgraded to a most professional level possible. 

This new GM will work closely to the factory owner to reorganise the local factory on best logistics, production and commercial principles , will also be role model manager for the team in terms

Main RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities are of an usual senior production director for a factory located in  Republic of Moldova. Additionaly this person will have to be quite efficient and aquinted with modern factory logistic principle and have a very good commercial vision too.   In Moldova there is a sewing production (cutting, sewing, prints) of 350 people but the capacity is at the point of  major expanssion to provide additional products and services. 
GM general tasks are:

-General management and improvement of production and economic activities of production;

-Distribution of planned tasks to production sites and operational regulation of the production process, coordination of the work of production units;

-Ensuring the rhythmic production of products in accordance with the plan while observing the standards and technical conditions for its quality;

-Control of the process of developing production schedules at the enterprise and in its divisions;

-Active study of production activities to identify potential production capacities, reserve capacities, as well as to eliminate production costs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Expossure within the textile production sector is a must
• Complete familiarity with sewing plant management and all the aspects connected
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English fluent; Romanian manager is preferred due to local language communication way; Other nationalities can be accepted too as long as they speak good English, although for the factory communication, the Ro language is the ideal one.

PERSONALITY AND LEADERSHIP

• • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationships;
  • Excellent organizational and management skills;
  • Act as a role model manager of the entire company, inspirational and efficient;
  • Proven results in cost efficiency, reorganisation of plant process, commercial results etc

EDUCATION PROFILE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree preferable in textile industry
• Min 3 -5 years of relevant experience as a GM of similar plant (ideally), or Ops Mgr or Plant Director

Due to the urgency and importance of the role the package is negotiable according to the candidate caliber and experience!
