Our Client is a multinational west-european company which has produced and exported top level technology and innovation worldwide for more than a century. We succesufly work for them in Romania, in Germany, Italy and USA and we are their expanssion supplier of choice.
This time they look for a Top Candidate who lives in India to become their local facility general manager, which is a very productive entity, fast and steady growing with about 80 people and aiming to exceed 100 next year.
Scope of the role: Replacement of the actual (expatriate) Managing Director within the next coming period.
The few most important must haves of the best matching Candidate in this role are:
• Senior-level manager responsible for day-to-day operations as well as for strategy and growth of their existing entity in India.
• He will be required to oversee the India business’s strategy, operations, finance and clients related (sales, marketing and execution) work in partnership with the Global team.
• Must demonstrate very good adaptability, solid industry technical knowledge and professionalism and especially commercial and management achievements within similar industrial field
Main Tasks and Activities:
● Develop and supervise the execution of short- and long-term strategic initiatives to achieve the company mission
● Ensure growing revenue streams to generate profits in line with agreed targets
● Build relationships with different stakeholders to generate sales leads, partnerships, and other necessary relationships
● Oversee and support the successful design, funding and execution of client contracts in India
● Manage and expand the execution capacity of the entity in India
● Ensure robust and effective operations, structures and processes to support the effective execution of the projects in cooperation with headquarter
● Enforce financial management systems to ensure the short-term and long-term financial viability of the office
● Ensure collaboration between relevant units to ensure effective client delivery and overall organizational objectives
● Ensure the adherence with all regulatory, tax and statutory compliance as defined by the country of operation
● Develop supply chain flow considering possible new channel also outside India (Far East) to improve process and efficiency Qualifications
● An advanced degree in business/engineering
● 10-15 years of relevant professional experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
● Background in steel or metallurgy (also could be in minning or automation industry)
● Highly Commercial expertise and attitude● Proven track record of high quality, timely and optimized project management and service delivery to exceed client expectations
● Proven business development experience and high-impact networking abilities leading to the generating of sales leads
● Finance general knowledge
● Exceptional abilities and experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams to deliver high impact team, client and partner-related results
● Exceptional verbal and written communications abilities in English, with strong networking and presentation skills
● An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work with independence, ambiguity and flexibility to ensure targets and outcomes are reached
● Experience in multinational Company having HQ in Europe - a very nice to have item!
