The Position:
Country Manager - Uzbekistan - Pharma
The Company
Our company is a well established brand in its industry selling both OTC and RX products. They entered the Central Asian market many years ago and are actively expanding across the region. The Uzbek business is performing well but could be doing much better. In order to achieve this our client is adding additional resource to the business including a new General Manager.
The Job
As a great leader and expert in Sales you will be managing a team of industry experts. The job will include:
- Achieving the set Sales budget through reviewing and implementing company strategy
- Managing key Sales relationship including distribution network
- Team Development - Hiring and Developing of additional staff, parting with those who don't perform
- Relationship management and Regulatory work with industry leaders and government decision makers impacting on Healthcare policy
- Close cooperation with other country heads
- Reporting to global HQ
- Coordinating all related operations/admin work (Logistics, Import, Finance, HR, etc)
The Candidate
Due to the staff shortage of experienced leaders in the Pharma industry in Uzbekistan we will be focussing on candidates from other CIS countries. You will have already spent at least 7-10 years in a managerial role in the Healthcare industry. Dealing with distribution partners, potentially switching distributors and changing sales strategies are things which you have done before. You find common language with teams, candidates and clients from a diverse cultural background.
