In order to participate in the development of its subsidiary in China, the company is looking for a General Manager Subsidiary M/F based in Yantai - China:
Your main tasks:
In accordance with the group's strategy and the guidelines given by the holding company's management, you will define and implement the subsidiary's operating policy and strategy, ensure its profitability and steer the subsidiary's development activity.
To this end, you will be required to :
- Manage the subsidiary and ensure reporting (income statements, budget, cash flow, profitability, etc.);
- You will be responsible for the management of the business and performance by involving each member of staff; carrying out updates with the main members of staff and the Group's General Management in order to monitor performance (indicators/objectives) and to take appropriate action;
- Study and analyze financial results, propose and implement corrective actions;
- Supervise the recruitment and management of teams (sales, engineers, technicians);
- Supervise sales activity and set objectives; monitor results, implement corrective actions (prospecting, building customer loyalty);
- Supervise the assembly of installations at customers' sites and after-sales service;
- Adapting the group's technology to the sector by ensuring the installation of customer equipment in accordance with their request;
- Represent the company in front of the authorities, business partners and customers and build close relationships with local contacts;
- Manage the teams on a daily basis, conduct annual performance reviews, promote employee involvement;
- Define current and future skills requirements and consequently recruitment needs;
- To be the guarantor of the application of the group's rules, to ensure regular reporting to the group's management.
Your profile - Qualifications and diplomas:
You have significant experience in the agri-food industry or in industrial packaging
You have a general engineering degree plus a specialization in international business/administration. You know how to communicate skillfully and finely in complex situations (sensitive message, difficult audience, unexpected situation, etc.).
You have demonstrated your ability to manage project risks (qualitative, budgetary, planning) and are able to ensure the level of risk coverage of a project.
You are able to :
- Define business objectives and develop the strategy to achieve them;
- Detect and analyze new customer needs (from market research, following meetings, etc.)
- Analyzing a call for tenders and taking the decision to respond to it (according to its strengths and weaknesses);
- Lead and supervise commercial prospecting;
- Write a commercial proposal / response to a call for tenders, and make the costing;
- Develop and lead a network of contacts or commercial partners
- Conduct commercial negotiations and conclude the sale. You know how to manage commercial disputes. You know how to manage a crisis.
You know the market.
You know how to draw up a budget, optimize it and monitor it (cost control, monitoring of budgets, etc.). You are able to evaluate service providers, their skills and the quality/price ratio.
You are familiar with Chinese taxation, accounting rules, insurance legislation, etc.
You are familiar with accounting and financial management.
You are recognized for your leadership, your entrepreneurial spirit, your ability to convince, your creativity and your innovation.
You can rely on your solid skills in mechanics, automation and electronics.
A good English and Chinese / Mandarin speaking are essential.
Fluency in French and Spanish is recommended.
Tools: KPIs software, Excel, knowledge of 3D software, AutoCAD, office automation, AS 400.
Other:
Experience of the local market.
Prior training of 6 months in one of our sites in France, then 6 months in one of our sites in Spain before moving to China.
Salary and status:
Gross annual salary range: Between 70.000€ and 100.000€ - Determined according to the candidate's profile
Annual bonus: Range between 10.000€ and 15.000€
