Client description:
Our client is a global IT Services, Consulting and Digital Solutions company providing business technology solutions to hundreds of their clients, across the globe. They have a marked presence in the Cloud landscape, across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions, with a host of services ranging from cloud-native development, deployment, migration, transformation, Consulting, and more.
Role details:
- Title / Designation: Director / Senior Director – Presales, Cloud Practice
- Reporting to: Head of Cloud Practice
- Location: Mumbai / Pune / Chennai / Bengaluru
Role & responsibilities:
- Lead Presales for the Cloud Practice / CoE, at a global level
- Own and lead all technical and content collaterals for the Cloud practice, including:
- PoCs (Proofs of Concept(s) / Prototypes / Pilots
- IP (intellectual property)
- Marketing activities and collaterals (population and update of content on the website / microsite), industry interaction through seminars, webinars, panel discussions, etc., authoring of White Papers, PoV (Points of View) and ownership of other solutions value proposition articulation deliverables like flyers, brochures, campaign pitches, infographics, social media content and suchlike)
- Own RFX responses end-to-end, and, where required, frontend the opportunities with clients
- Own the engagement with Analysts and market influencers, end-to-end
- Lead a small Presales team
- As required, contribute to building sustained relationships with alliance partners and OEM solutions providers
- When required, assist with proactive pitches and technical door-opener conversations with client CXOs and leadership teams
- As required, contribute to the budgeting and forecasting exercise for the Practice
- As required, contribute to the creation of capabilities, capacity and competencies in the Practice / CoE team
Candidate requirements:
- 20+ years of total experience with at least 7+ years of development experience and 5+ years of team management experience
- Must be hands-on to the extent required for the role
- Knowledge of and deep insights on various cloud providers and their solutions
- Solutions and delivery experience in cloud-native development
- Proven deep technical experience working with Fortune 500 US companies in one or more of Telecom, Insurance and Financial Services domains
- Ability to lead and work with distributed teams
- Ability to interact with CXOs and other stakeholders of clients and willingness for business travel, for the same
- Proven business acumen, translating in the ability to identify market-leading Cloud propositions and to work with the Practice teams to position them impactfully with prospects and clients and do so quickly
- Host of leadership soft skills related to communication, articulation, presentation, comfort in leading from ambiguity to clarity, self-motivation, independent initiatives, and more
