Candidate Requirements
- Hold single UK nationality

Qualifications & Experience- A strong interest in engineering, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in an engineering career.
- A relevant Engineering Qualification at Level 6 NVQ or an Honours Degree.
- A Level 3 qualification (NVQ 3, Advanced Apprenticeship, or AS/A Level) in Mathematics and Science (Physics).
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electronic solutions to meet specified requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to develop successful solutions.
- Ensure smooth transition to production by considering design for manufacture and testing.
- Conduct design proving activities, including fault finding.
- Work with external test houses to demonstrate compliance with MoD and European standards, including CE/UKCA marking.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation, including Bills of Materials, schematics, and Change Notes.
- Provide occasional offsite support for product installation and maintenance.
- Electronics design expertise in both analogue and digital techniques, including:
- Low-noise power supply and distribution circuitry
- Analogue signal conditioning
- Data acquisition topologies
- Digital interfacing and control within an FPGA environment
- Design for EMC compliance
- Experience with all aspects of electronics product design, including:
- Implementing designs from specifications
- Producing circuit designs for external artwork and subcontract manufacture
- Circuit-level design validation and verification
- Awareness of compliance and qualification requirements (UKCA/EC, EMC, Environmental, RoHS, Safety, etc.)
- Understanding of formal acceptance processes
- Proficiency in ECAD tools for circuit and PCB design (Cadence OrCAD desirable).
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills at the component level.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions.
- Experience using test equipment for evaluation and design validation, including digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, PAT testers, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload with a hands-on approach.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance is essential.
