Group CFO
Purpose of the Role
The Group CFO is a top executive position with a strategic role in ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and maximization of asset value at group level. The position acts as a strategic partner to shareholders and the Board of Directors, directly coordinating the financial activities of five CFOs from the group’s production units operating in the construction industry. The role is responsible for integrating the group’s financial strategy with operational processes within production units, ensuring consistency and alignment of financial decisions across the holding.
Organizational Positioning
- Reports directly to: Board of Directors / Shareholders
- Directly coordinates CFOs of the five production units
- Key role in defining and supporting the group’s growth and profitability strategy
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Governance and Coordination of Group CFOs
- Coordinates, aligns, and evaluates the activity of the five CFOs of the production units, ensuring consistent application of group financial policies.
- Defines the group’s financial strategy, including policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting standards.
- Ensures coherence between group financial strategy and financial execution at entity level.
- Acts as the primary financial interface with shareholders and the Board.
2. Financial Strategy and Decision Support
- Develops and continuously updates the group’s short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategy.
- Builds complex financial models (forecasting, scenarios, stress testing, decision-impact simulations).
- Analyses and financially validates strategic decisions such as investments (CAPEX), capacity expansions, operational reorganizations, and M&A transactions.
- Provides the Board with clear, decision-oriented analyses rather than purely historical reporting.
3. Controlling, Performance, and Operational Efficiency
- Oversees the group-level controlling system, with a strong focus on production costs, margins, productivity, and profitability.
- Coordinates budget versus actual analysis (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) at factory and group level.
- Identifies deviations, root causes, and corrective actions together with local CFOs and operational management.
- Ensures monitoring of direct and indirect production costs (unit cost, marginal cost, losses, waste, equipment efficiency).
4. Budgeting, Cash Flow, and Financial Control
- Coordinates the annual budgeting process and quarterly revisions for all group entities.
- Ensures strict cash flow and liquidity control at holding level.
- Monitors budget compliance and provide insights regarding financial risks.
- Optimizes cost structure and working capital.
5. Financial Risk Management
- Identifies, assesses, and manages the group’s financial and operational risks.
- Ensures full transparency regarding financial exposures and the impact of operational decisions.
- Proposes mitigation measures related to cost, liquidity, investments, and factory performance.
6. Implementation and Follow-up of Strategic Decisions
- Ensures that Board-level decisions are implemented consistently across all production units.
- Monitors strategic projects (industrial investments, efficiency improvement initiatives, restructurings).
- Evaluates the actual impact of implemented measures and reports results to shareholders.
Candidate Profile
Experience and Background
- Minimum 10 years of experience in senior financial management roles (CFO, Group CFO, Finance Director).
- Relevant experience in manufacturing / construction / industrial environments.
- Solid experience in M&A and investor relations.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple entities or production sites (multi-site, holding structures).
- Strong exposure to industrial controlling, production cost analysis, and operational optimization.
Professional Competencies
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, controlling, management accounting, and cash flow management.
- Advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis skills.
- Ability to translate financial data into strategic business decisions.
- Deep understanding of operational and production processes.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and influence CFO teams.
- Strategic mindset with a strong focus on results and efficiency.

Education
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- MBA, ACCA, CFA, or other international certifications represent a strong advantage.
