Our client is an international company looking for a Hardware Design Engineer who will play a key role in the new department.
Hardware Design Engineer
The Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing hardware components and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Create and develop hardware specifications based on project requirements.
- Design and prototype electronic circuits, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Select and integrate electronic components to meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
- Work with CAD tools and simulation software to optimize designs.
- Testing and Validation:
- Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware designs.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting of hardware-related issues.
- Collaborate with test engineers to ensure that hardware meets quality standards.
- Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for hardware designs, including specifications, schematics, and test results.
- Create design documentation for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in design processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Academic Background in Applied Electronics / Electrical Engineering / Embedded Systems/ Systems Automation
- Environment for application: previous experience using simulation software as LT Spice or OrCAD, MATLAB Simulink, Python
- Digital hardware competence:
- ADC/DAC converters
- OPAMP
- H Bridge, 3~ inverter
- Analog Circuits (OPA, transistor circuits etc.)
- Logic Circuits (gates, registers, multiplexers, demultiplexers, decoders, encoders, buffers)
- Power Supply (design and usage)
- Power electronics (up to 500Vac/800Vdc)
- Oscilloscope (design basic digital one and usage of both digital and analog version)
- Function Generator (design basic generator and usage of commercial ones)
- SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) & I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) communication
- USB based devices and protocol
- Wi-Fi based protocols (such as ESP32 with built in Wi-Fi)
- Interfaces (RS232, RS485 etc.)
- Analog Hardware competence: Brushless DC Motors/ Permanent magnet DC motor
- Multidisciplinary competence (good to have):
- Schematic design using Eagle or Altium
- Inverters and converters (DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC)
- Motor and sensor driving circuits
- Power Factor Correction
- EMC/EMI experience
