Role title: Head- Business Development (API- International Market EU/US)
Location: Hyderabad
Role Overview:
As the Head of Business Development for the company, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and market penetration by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities worldwide especially in the CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) area. You should have good contacts and strong connections with MNC’s ( Innovators ). Your primary focus will be on expanding our client base, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and exploring strategic partnerships within the global pharmaceutical landscape. Leveraging your vast network and deep-rooted connections with top pharmaceutical companies, you will be responsible for establishing and executing effective sales strategies and achieving revenue targets.
Scope & Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute a comprehensive business development plan to drive-
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct extensive market research to identify potential opportunities, industry trends, and competitors in the API and Contract Manufacturing Arena. Analyze market data to develop strategies for growth and market penetration.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify, target, and acquire new clients in the Big pharma space while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat business, and client retention.
- Product and Service Expansion: Work closely with the CMO's technical teams to identify opportunities for expanding the portfolio of manufacturing services. Evaluate potential new services and assess their feasibility and profitability.
- Strategic Partnerships and Alliances: Identify and establish strategic partnerships, collaborations, and alliances with Multinational pharmaceutical companies, Indian Pharma giants, and other stakeholders. Leverage these relationships to expand the CMO's capabilities and reach.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales and revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Translate strategies into actionable plan- set goals, KPIs, and performance targets to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. This also involves negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and partners.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business development goals and objectives. This includes defining target markets, setting revenue targets, and creating actionable plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business development activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards, particularly in the highly regulated pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
- Market Entry and Expansion: Explore new geographical markets and assess the feasibility of entering or expanding in those markets. Develop market entry strategies and coordinate expansion efforts.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Highly passionate about generating Business and a strong work ethic.
- Proven track record of successful business development and sales in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong network of global clients especially MNC’s (Innovators).
- Extensive experience in selling API solutions and generating CMO business from top pharmaceutical companies (Innovators) globally.
- Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, make data-driven decisions, and execute plans effectively.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
