Responsibilities

• Responsible for both financial and operational audit based on the approved annual audit plan.
• Develop audit programs and execute risk-based audits to review and identify financial and operational risks.
• Provide internal control assurance by conducting review of the effectiveness of the internal controls and compliance to policies and procedures, and consulting services to add value and improve operations.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and deliver practical, cost effective and value-added recommendations to Management.
• Collate information on the area being audited, including key systems, organizational structure, financial and budgetary information and legal or regulatory requirements, etc.
• Document the processes and associated controls being examined in the audit and be involved in the more complex activities being reviewed, involving the use of flow charts where necessary
• Review and approve testing working papers as well as discuss findings and draft observations with the Auditors on the team
• Discuss and finalize the findings and observation with the auditee team and management responsible for the activities being audited.
• Promote Internal Audit and the services it provides, by building strong and effective working relationships with senior management, other staff and external auditors

Academic Qualifications

ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CPA
