Job Description
Position Title: Head Finance
Grade / Designation: Deputy GM
Location: Gurgaon, Haryana
Educational Qualifications: CA
Work Experience (years): 10-12 years, Heading Finance function of an organization
Industry Type: Preferably from a Japanese auto/auto-ancillary company
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the set-up of the Finance infrastructure: Since it’s a newly formed Joint venture the person is expected to lead the set-up activities for the JV including the implementation of Financial systems and building a Finance team
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with the business objectives and long-term goals.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing insights to optimize resource allocation and cost management.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present financial performance to the executive team and board of directors.
- Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and financial reporting requirements. Develop tax-efficient strategies to optimize the company's financial position.
- Financial Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including JV partner, banks, investors, and auditors.
Candidate Profile
- A Chartered Accountant
- Experience of partnering with growing business and demonstrated contributions in supporting growth agenda
- Experience of leading finance for joint ventures (preferable)
- Strong controllership, compliance focused, strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Exceptional financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in finance
- Ability to lead the set-up of a newly formed business
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
