Head Finance for a family business serving the Aviation sector

Specific Responsibilities

• Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.
• Lead interaction with investors and other stakeholders
• Represent the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, and the general public.
• You have a hawk’s eye on fund management and cash flows.

General Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop Financial strategic business and/or operational plans
• Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and conservation of assets
• Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company
• Identify prospective Banks/investors for fund raising
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports to generate funds
• Identify the most efficient debt structure by detecting and understanding efficient debt alternatives
• Report/highlight important deviations
• Carry out the financial analysis, and drive financial and management reporting (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flows etc)
• Develop risk management policies and ensure compliance to the policies
• Centrally control financial and liquidity risks
• Manage working capital and cash flow
• Manage relationships with financial institutions
• Identify the best investment opportunities, Obtain the greatest possible return of surpluses, in accordance with accepted risk levels
• Take part in financial negotiations with important stakeholders
• Training its personnel according to the Business requirements
• Motivating, coaching and appraising  the staff/team members
• Actively take part in Business Reviews Meetings / Finance Management discussion
• Support in generating research funding external funding agencies
• Manage financial approvals and delegations
• Monitor and manage overall payables and receivables

Key Performance Indicators

• Accurate & timely financial and management reporting
• Successful cash flow management and ensuring adequacy of funds for  Business operations
• Bring in investor funds and research funding

Qualification & Experience

• CA / MBA Finance (CA+CS preferred) with 15-18 years plus experience in Fund Management /Fund Raising, dealing with public & private banks at Senior Leadership level
• Wiling ness to work on Flexible work schedule to meet business exigencies
• Those living in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai would be preferred
