Our Client is a global leader in the renewable energy sector and due to the rapid expansion of their already strong presence in Greece, they are looking for an ‘Engineering & Construction, Senior Manager’.

Your Responsibilities:

• Carefully select engineering providers, ensuring implementation under approved standards, general specifications, and quality criteria for the outstanding implementation of projects and wind farm designs. Provide technical assistance to the Purchasing Department in the bidding for wind farm contracts as well as perform technical tabulation of received bids to ensure optimum implementation. Collaborate and provide technical support on matters relating to the connections of the electrical grid. Coordinate and supervise the budget implementation of materials for the projects.

• Coordinate with the Technical Support Department to conduct studies of the collecting system, reactive power compensation, and design of foundations for integration in the engineering project to minimize risks associated with the construction of the wind turbines.

• Manage the transfer projects from Engineering, assigning a construction project manager and leading the technical acceptance of projects, to optimize the start time of the project, ensuring coordination and technical quality in the transfer of the project. Coordinate resources as well as the evaluation and resolution of amendment proposals raised in the construction phase to the final engineering draft, to assure maintenance of project technical standards.

• Lead the simultaneous completion of all the engineering and construction projects, having direct insight into the projects, assisting on-site when needed. Coordinate the design and wording of the preliminary draft and detailed engineering of the facility. Direct the construction project managers in carrying out all tests and protocols of the electricity infrastructure and turbines for the PAC (Provisional Acceptance Certificate) signing before moving to exploitation. Supervise the project manager´s relationships with the business areas and financial institutions to issue a favorable report and obtain financing to give to wind farm production units to ensure their technical expertise, and cost and lead time compliance.

• Coordinate construction project managers for the transfer of construction projects to the operating units. Secure the support of the construction project managers in the resolution of the “pending” minors under the deadline.

• Provide the direction of the person in charge, setting the objectives and responsibilities, using indicators and benchmarking as established, encourage and motivate people to achieve the commitment of the staff, with the culture and values of the organization, its development, and that of the department as a whole.

• Lead negotiations and manage technical support, regulatory, or sector in their distinct directions of the group to achieve the strategic plan objectives.

• Represent the Company to agencies, public and private institutions on subject-related issues and assert the interests of the Company to obtain business plan improvements, and enhance brand image and competitive positioning.

Your Profile:

• Strong academic background in Engineering.

• More than 10 years of experience in the Renewables Industry and in similar roles.

• Strong People Management skills.

• Established network with local decision-making Authorities.

• Almost native English skills.
