- Overall 20+ years of automotive industry experience in Product Design & Development (Includes : Design, Change management, Vehicle Integration, PLM, and Vehicle Industrialisation)
- Prepare Engineering plan to support the new product launch by following NPD Gates.
- Very good knowledge of converting the customer needs to Engineering specifications.
- Very good knowledge of DVP’s of all vehicle systems viz. BIW, Interior , Chassis, Engine systems, Electrical engineering,
- Good understanding of CAE and interpretation of results to resolve structural issues.
- Understanding of Function sciences, viz. NVH, Durability, Thermal management, Performance & Vehicle dynamics. Also good understanding of DFMA, DFS & DFMEA.
- Collaborate with Platform Head, Vehicle Validation Head, Quality, and Manufacturing & Suppliers for issue resolutions.
- Ensure all the engineering drawings are released with compliance, DVP, assembly stack up tolerance & manufacturing feasibility requirements.
- Support & Identify the VAVE ideas for product and cost improvement.
- Prepare a plan for Engineering competency enhancement and implement year on year.
- Good knowledge of Engineering materials and manufacturing process.
- Review & Approve Deviations during new product industrialisation.
- Lead change management activities for all products, BOM Scrub, EBOM release in Windchill/SAP, New product code release.
- Implement global PLM/PDM & release management system, between engineering centres in India collaborating with EMEA.
- Legacy data conversion and update all tree structure for 100% electronic release of drawings to all stake holders.
