Job Description
Our client is a German manufacturer who serves prestigious automotive OEMs.
The Head of Operations reports directly to GM being responsible for the day-to-day operations and longer term planning for manufacturing functions, including manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, purchasing and shipping/receiving activities.
Main tasks:
- Develop and maintain strong cross functional relationships in order to facilitate organizational planning, goal setting and a culture of continuous improvement and enhancing the skills and abilities of production staff;
- Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products;
- Develop operations related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures;
- Lead plant level meetings to help achieve production goals that match customer requirements. Use data and analysis to position the plant to meet future sales forecast, and address any projected production gaps;
- Drive the execution of initiatives to guarantee a safe working environment with zero incidents;
- Generate and analyze business reports, for internal and external metrics;
- Directly interface with customers on an as needed basis;
- Foster high morale and teamwork by supporting the activities of subordinates through daily interaction and one on one contacts. Facilitate employee development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree;
- 8+ years of production management reference including supervisory experience;
- Electronics manufacturing background & experience preferred.
- Experience with production management methodologies;
- Fluent English, native Hungarian;
- Effective communication and diplomacy skills to guide and lead others;
- Strong leadership with a demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects;
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable information and monitor strategy achievement;
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
