Summary role description:

Hiring for a Head of Product Management to lead the development of an E-commerce platform for the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) ecosystem.

Our client is a well-established, Chennai-headquartered Utilities major, with a commanding presence in the Power, Oil & Gas and Water sectors, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions across capital goods, heavy engineering, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). Their businesses have been powered by best-in-class technologies, which they now are scaling up and expanding as an E-commerce platform, for them, their supplier partners and other ecosystem players.

Role details:

• Title / Designation: Head of Product Management – E-commerce Platform
• Reporting Manager:  Managing Director
• Location: Chennai

Role & Responsibilities:

• Define product vision, based on inputs from business, market understanding, industry research, analyst reports and own domain expertise & technology awareness
• Translate the product vision to product strategy, aligning with the current E-commerce landscape and own breakthrough thinking thereon
• Evolve product roadmap from the product strategy, powered by extensive market research, user experience design and user stories for service optimization
• Drill down product roadmap into a roadmap of releases, each with its, release goals and release level development of new product features and enhancement of existing ones
• Ensure consistent, connected and secure customer experience on the E-commerce website and mobile app, across releases
• Own product pricing and financial management (growth and profitability) – at product level and individual account level
• Assist business developers in analysing all the business requirements and coordinate efforts to increase business

Candidate requirements:

• 15 – 20 years of experience with at least the recent 10+ in E-commerce or Consumer Internet product management
• Rich experience in three or more of: Energy, Retail, Public Service, Hi-Tech, Software & Platforms, Consumer Goods, and Logistics
• M Tech or MCA qualification
• Proven experience and expertise in all the responsibility areas mentioned above, with sharp focus on understanding of platform ecosystems
