Job Description
Our Client is a leading residential and commercial developer. For their growing operations in Athens they are looking for a:
Head of Project Management (Russian speaker)
Your Responsibilities:
- Management of the regional office (setting goals and objectives, monitoring their implementation, motivation, mentoring and team development, defining the regional office goals for the short/medium and long term);
- Establishing the company's approach to the full life cycle of projects aligned to our strategic initiatives in the regional market includes everything from project planning, initiation, resourcing, and execution to monitoring, control, completion, and property management;
- Ensuring the regional office meets performance targets that are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and adhere to best practices;
- Overseeing the development of the projects and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company’s standards, goals, and values;
- Drafting new and improving existing project management policies and processes;
- Training, leading, and coaching team members;
- Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation;
- Providing financial reports and budget outline to executives;
- Creation and timely updating of project’s schedules;
- Responsibility for the project’s budgets, resources, and deadlines;
- Accurately documenting the project’s creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project’s scope, budget, and justification;
- Ensuring cross-functional interaction with related departments of the company;
- Maintaining strong relationships with the internal staff, external stakeholders (international office and other regional offices, partners, officials, regulators);
- Developing and adapting the company vision to the changing business environment in the regional market;
- Carry out market research through industry contacts, publications, trade events, news to identify ideas for growth;
- Creation of the annual regional office budget in compliance with the company policy and ethical/corporate governance framework and present it to the board for approval;
- Collaboration with the Marketing and Sales Department to ensure that the marketing and branding initiatives on the regional market are efficient and effective;
- Helping in disseminating the executive management’s vision and goals among the project management, operational, and support teams;
- Setting up the procedure to filter out high potential deals by analyzing technical conditions, business strategies, opportunity requirements / pre-requisites / financials, and internal priorities;
- Management of all contractual requirements and align the result with the company’s internal operations and capabilities;
Your Profile:
- Degree in Civil Engineering;
- 15 years experience in a similar position in the construction/real estate development industry among which minimum 5 in a project management role;
- Experience in independent management of large international projects;
- Knowledge of project management theory and leading methodologies and the ability to apply project management theory in practice;
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles;
- Understanding the financial component of projects, ability to manage the economic performance of the project;
- Ability to assess labor costs taking into account approaches to project implementation, limitations, and risks;
- Ability to manage client’s expectations prevent any difficult situations;
- Fluent in Greek and English;
