Head of Quality - Automotive MNC
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Quality to lead our quality management team and ensure the highest standards of quality throughout our entire automotive manufacturing process. As the Head of Quality, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the quality management team, setting clear goals and objectives for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues throughout the automotive manufacturing process.
- Conduct and oversee internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Implement and drive Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers to ensure their adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and implement new quality technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the quality team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Manage and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
- Manage and maintain the quality budget.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within the quality function.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
- Strong understanding and experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive quality control and testing procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Experience using quality management software tools is a plus.
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, EHS, and other quality-related areas are highly desirable.
