Head of UX/UI Design - London
About our client
Our client is a no-code visual collaboration platform to create business solutions and productivity apps. Their customers are using it for a variety of use cases like risk management, business road mapping, strategy, design workshops, customer journey maps, virtual whiteboarding and content planning. The solution is a sticky product with high retention and a unique offering in the market.
The Candidate
You are an experienced UX/UI design leader who has a proven track record in working in an agile environment, with a knowledge of building enterprise app-based applications. You will have a good background and understanding of design and development issues associated with B2B SaaS and cloud-based solutions and experience in strategy development, research and speaking with end users.
The role
Initially as a key contributor as well as leading external design professionals. As head of UX design reporting to the CPO/CTO, the individual will predominantly be working on UX/UI for the client’s high performing, innovative business collaboration and project management tool. This design professional will be working with a dedicated and driven team of developers constantly improving and building the software platform.Within 9 to 12 months, the head of design will build an in-house team and while maintaining hands-on responsibilities will then be expected to dedicate 50% of their time to strategy and management
Key responsibilities
Transform ideas, business opportunities and customer insights into a tangible product that provides clear, usable, useful and desirable outcomes for users
Establish UX methodologies, define customer journey maps and create UX prototyping/wireframes
Build and lead a team of UX designers and researchers through all phases of product development while working in an agile environment
Experience and Skills
Past experience in shipping B2B SaaS products as Head/Director of UX
In-depth knowledge of UX methodologies, customer journey maps, UX prototyping/wireframes
Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
A track record in operating at senior level with a well-balanced style
Results driven, commercially minded
10-12 years design experience with SaaS 2-3 years’ leadership
Strong knowledge of industry standard tools
Strong knowledge of design thinking, gaining experience in design with rationale and design critique.
Experience in conducting user research.
