Define a methodology for

• The entire new part development process; RFQ, technical discussion, Quality Assurance Plans, PFMEA, Tooling + Fixture development, proto development, sample approval and realize to serial production.
• Continuous improvements in cycle times and tooling in the regular production jobs
• Technology development for minimum down time of machines; e.g.: use of software for offline programme development

Assign roles and responsibility to team…

• Evaluate human resource requirement
• Prepare job description and responsibilities
• Empower and develop the team for successful development of the given mission and task
• Develop appropriate reporting and follow-up mechanism for effective task management

Lean Structure and manufacturing Process

• Use of appropriated system and tools for efficient department management
• Use of standard resources and infrastructure for functional and business management

New Product Development Projects

• Develop an adapted supplier base, service providers, etc… for successful task management
• Lead the Project team in pre-study cost commitment
• Strive for simplicity and effectiveness in development process
• T ensure robust process engineering, bring the knowledge & capabilities upfront of the projects to allow the best Quality, Cost and Efficiency​​​​​​​

General responsibilities

• First Time Right Quality development of new parts
• In charge for processes of the company
• Respect & contribute actively to the SHE procedures (Safety, Health, Environment)
• Promote ideas for continuous improvement
• Interact n-time, with transparency & commitment with colleagues & managers
• Maintain respectful and polite relationship with all contacts.

Experience / Educational requirements

• Mechanical Engineer or equivalent with 10-15 years of experience
• Excellent knowledge in machining processes, Development function, cutting tools, machines, production, etc…
• Fluent in English, Marathi/Hindi
• Use f IT tools like ERP, MS-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint…
• Able t read a technical drawing with tolerances & specifications
• Technical knowledge on Machining, Process engineering, Quality system…
