1. Job Overview
Responsible for managing material supply, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and warehousing functions in the plant. Utilizes ERP and planning systems to maintain control and accuracy of all goods inventories, procurement, planning, scheduling and deliveries. Key member of plant management team, promoting a culture of safety, efficient production, high quality and superior customer service

3. Principal Accountabilities
Material Supply Management
- Communicates with customers regarding requirements, orders, complaints and concerns; and escalates complaints to the appropriate management when necessary
- Establishes and implements best practices related to production scheduling, inventory management, warehouse management and material control
- Coordinates expediting and lead-time reduction activities to achieve customer expectations and support industry best-in-class production lead times
- Communicates potential product shortfalls to Corporate Supply Chain team and assists in resolving shortages to meet customer demands
- Supplier Development & Performance Improvement: Effectively manage supplier performance by conducting routine supplier business reviews on key KPI’s; develop new suppliers or alternative solutions as required
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Oversees the plant production schedule, ensuring customer requirements are met and alignment with capacity plans and inventory targets
- Manages raw material consumption, develops plans to maintain production needs, identifies and addresses any issues to ensure on-time delivery
Despatch & Logistics (Loading/Unloading)
- Manages logistics including carrier partnership activities and incident notifications
- Manage language and communications translation issues and activities as necessary to enable effective relations, distribution and integration of Domestic / exported material, product, equipment within the supply chain of exporter, (for example handling instructions, operating manuals, product training, etc).
Warehouse /Stores
Directs warehouse activities, including best practices for warehouse optimization and utilization
Inventory Management (WIP/FG/RM/DM)
- Works closely with the Corporate Supply Chain team to optimized capacity and inventory plans
- Manages periodic physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods, and performs reconciliation of inventory to ERP system. Accountable for raw and finish goods material variances.
- Analyse material usage and spend and implement procurement strategies to maximize efficiency and cost optimization
- Generates inventory and production reports, measures performance daily and weekly through analysis reports, and recommends changes to improve and optimize throughput
Purchasing
- Orders raw materials including resin, preforms, pallets, tier sheets, and top frames ensuring adherence to procurement contracts
- Purchases other materials and services from outside contractors, such as forklift maintenance
- Sales forecast – Prepare a firmed up SKU wise, customers wise and plant wise sales forecast for one month, 3 months rolling sales plan, half yearly and full year sales plant by plant and by customers on “– 3weeks basis”
- Allocate the total sales plan to the individual plant planners for preparing next month production plan
- Prepare a firmed up production plan for next 96 hours – 4WD (not to be changed), a flex production plan for 10 WD and tentative production for balance working days in a month
Scrape Management
- Facilitate disposal of surplus, obsolete & scrap materials
Invoicing
- Effectively manage the PO replenishment process with a focus on matching inventory levels with the needs of the customer
- Price negotiation/price dispute resolution
- Collaborate with Commercial team to understand customer forecast and historical usage to determine appropriate stocking levels, reduce overage material and define buying trends
Safety
- Assures all plant safety and accident prevention policies are adhered to, including maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse area, maintaining a safe work environment and safe work practices, accident investigation when necessary, and ensuring any outside contractors adhere to Amcor policies and procedures
Team Management
- Manages team of direct reports and is responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management.
- Responsible for overall talent management and employee engagement; cultivates an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance; addresses employee relations issues

6. Qualifications/Requirements
6.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge and Experience
- 10-15 years of experience in Supply Chain or similar work experience
- Packaging Business knowledge
- Fluency in English language
- SAP, ERP, MRP
Education and Certifications
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or equivalent in a related field
