We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented HSE Engineer to drive workplace safety and environmental compliance, ensuring a secure and sustainable environment for employees and stakeholders. This role is essential in aligning operations with Romanian legislation, customer requirements and global company standards. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Policy & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures in compliance with Romanian legislation, customer requirements and company standards.
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports across all applicable HSE domains, ensuring compliance with legal and internal requirements.

Risk Assessment & Incident Management

• Conduct occupational health and safety risk assessments and hazard evaluations for all job roles and processes.
• Approve personal protective equipment (PPE) proposals in accordance with Construction Department recommendations and HSE requirements.
• Participate in HSE incident investigations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

Training & Awareness

• Identify HSE training needs and design, deliver, and maintain internal HSE training programs.
• Develop and deliver HSE induction training for new employees.

Emergency Preparedness

• Plan, organize, and conduct emergency response drills.
• Maintain and update the annual emergency response plan, training plan, thematic plan, and company evacuation plan.

Auditing & Continuous Improvement

• Audit organizational activities against HSE plans and procedures.
• Monitor and track closure of corrective actions.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Ensure effective communication with client HSE representatives, Romanian regulatory authorities, and external consultants.
• Coordinate and facilitate periodic medical examinations for employees

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety, Environmental,  Since or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international organization.
• Professional certifications in Safety, Emergency Management, or Environmental disciplines are an advantage
• Advanced proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
• Valid Category B driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international).
• Valid driver’s license (Category B).
