Type Approval, COP, Vahan Registration portal, OUV Vehicles planning & disposal, New Regulation implementation, Coordination with UK homologation, Regulations team, test agencies, TML homologation team
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Yes, Homologation Budget Planning and Review
ROLE PROFILE
Key Performance Indicators
• Type approvals as per OKTS
• Vahan approvals prior to OKTS
• Annual COP plan completion including Inservice & WVCOP
• OUV vehicles planning & disposal as per annual budget
• Implementation of New Regulations as notified by MORTH and gov authorities
• URN Creation for CBU vehicles and CIRT approvals
• Coordination with UK homologation, Regulations team, test agencies, TML homologation team
• Annual Budget planning and monthly review
• Test agency and retailer invoice settlementKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities
● Homologation budget preparation, Monthly review and provide provisions to finance for homologation activities
● Time line discussion with UK homologation team for new model Type approvals and CMVR achievement before OKTS
● Planning and budgeting OUV vehicles, Repair & disposal as per annual budget
● Implementation of New Regulations as notified by MORTH and gov authorities
● URN Creation for CBU vehicles and CIRT approvals
● Resolving RTO related queries
● Support SIAM meetings
● Update to engineering and regulation team on new regulations & timelines
● Homologation claim settlements with Tata motors & test agencies
● Test agency / Retailer claim settlements
Key Interactions
● Co-ordination Tata motors, UK engineering, SIAM, Govt test agencies
● Inter department interactions with Sales, marketing and Finance team
● Vendor management
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential: Engineering Background with relevant work experience in automobile industry
Hard Skills
• Previous experience in a similar role with Knowledge of Regulation & homologation
• Experience with Automobile OEMs, reputed test agencies
• Knowledge of excel, power point, planning tools
Soft Skills
● Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work; fully invested in achieving a successful result.
● You view things as a team rather than individual project level, considering the wider team needs.
● Strong interpersonal/communication skills, including ability to manage/lead/support homologation department and communicate effectively at all levels.
