Looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who will work in partnership with the Schools senior management and executive team to provide advice, coach and support on a range of HR issues. Ideally you will be fully CIPD qualified and possess up to date knowledge and understanding of HR best practice with an excellent understanding of employment law
- Provide timely expert HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees in all aspects of the employee life cycle;
- Act as senior point of contact and subject matter expert on complex employment cases and projects and provide HR related advice across the generalist range of the role;
- Be responsible for the delivery and timely conclusion of all aspects of HR casework; including absence management, discipline, grievance, performance management and other employee relations issues in accordance with policies and procedures;
- Assist with the delivery of key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including, restructuring, resourcing, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management;
- Proactively respond to day-to-day HR issues and queries providing prompt advice on HR procedures and employee counselling
- Conduct inductions for new personnel;
- Monitor and track probationary periods for new employees, supporting Line Managers as required;
- Assist with the planning of orientation and refresher training each August
- Conduct exit interviews and report on findings;
- Support the performance appraisal system and data for faculty and staff in line with the School's Learning Journey programme;
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication, numerical and inter-personal skills;
- Organise and prioritise work to meet key deadlines;
- Manage HR administration, documents and records to provide a reliable, efficient and compliant service;
- Liaise with the School's legal advisers as appropriate; and
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current employment law and best practice.
Miscellaneous
- Assist with the planning and coordination of the employee children Christmas party;
- Provide HR support to 6 week Summer Programme;
- Assist with ad hoc HR team correspondence and projects; and
- Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the HR Director or their Deputy.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- To know the identity of the School's Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding Team;
- To proactively be alert to indicators of potential safeguarding issues and report these immediately in accordance with the school's procedure;
