On behalf of our client (global automotive company) we are looking for a HR Industrial Relations Manager, to join their team near Kassel. The company employs thousands of people worldwide and you will be part of a dynamic, international German headquarters.
HR Industrial Relations Manager (m/w/d) Kassel
Job assignment:
• Managing Works Council negotiations and pushing forward actions to improve aspects related to their area of responsibilities for facilities located in Germany.
• Assisting the Management with reference to subjects related to employees/works council, in order to manage each situation in line with the indication of the labor law. This position reports to Director HR and H&S Europe.
Main responsibilities:
• Managing together with their supervisors the relations with the Works Councils/ Trade Unions
• Providing the needed support and legal advice on issues related to the employment relationship (i.e: hiring, termination, extensions, working hours, vacations, permits, expectations, maternity, illness, accidents, transfers, etc.)
• Taking care of the drafting of the agreements and of the relationship with the works council’s representatives.
• Defining a policy concerning the Works Councils management, establishing which decisions the company intends to share and/or to undertake independently.
• Capability to managing activates in project management oriented
• Maintaining all the HR dept. updated regarding labor laws, and related procedures
• Managing, in coordination with law firm, labor disputes and eventual trials
• Experience in managing tools such as partial retirement, short-time work and similar social/tariff agreements tools
• Implementing company’s Procedures ensuring compliance with International Conventions and Labor Law
• Maintaining the relations with external legal consultants
• Capability and experience in analysis for data comparison, i.e. these ones concerning economic impact related to labor costs
• Provide the proper weekly/monthly reporting about activities/duties agreed with the Management
• Guarantee that the Corporate/European policies/processes/projects are properly implemented according to Management request
• Provide support to the HR dept. in monitoring and following on monthly basis Labor cost, including forecast and analyses related
• Analyze the data, in order to improve the relative performance
• Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards Company's goals
• Promote the communication between top management and staff of all departments
• Providing support to the local HS&E Manager in order to spread-out a proper HS&E culture
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions
• Successful completion of a university degree in legal sciences or similar field.
• Minimum 5 of experience in manufacturing companies or similar
• Good knowledge of MS Office package
• in-depth knowledge of labour policies and regulations, safety standards in the workplace
• Good knowledge of German labour law
• Excellent relational skills, flexibility and predisposition to teamwork;
• Attitude to problem solving, determination to achieving goals;
• Excellent communication and decision making skills
• Knowledge of matters related to the IG-Metal Unions
• Fluent in English both written and spoke
