Our Client is an international leading producer and global distributor of specialty chemicals. We look for a an enthusiastic individual Customer Service & Logistics Distribution Specialist in their downton main office, in Bucharest.
This is a new role in the Company , directly reporting to the local general manager and with the aim to operate with the Romanian Customs in relation to the NON EU imports and exports . Also, this person must be well focused on the ERP development in relation to logistics, as the existing (SAP logistics etc) local routines used do need some extensions and developments.
A good Candidate will have the possibility to grow pretty fast a career into the SCM of the Company operations in Romania.
Therefore here are some very important MUST HAVE skills :
- The Import/export non -UE regulations knowledge and work experience
- Customs procedures for import/export its essential experience too
- Warehousing procedures at least very good knowledge
- Transport activities knowledge related to import-export (maritime would be nice to have) familiar with Incoterms etc
- Desirable experience in FMCG sector – would be substantial plus else chemical /construction industries are nice places to work with before too
Detailed Responsibilities related to logistics:
* Overseeing all logistic and distribution operation
*Organizing and managing inventory, storage and transportation
* Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of stock (OOS)
* Plan and track the shipments of products according to customer requirements
* Reviewing, preparing and routing purchase orders
* Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
* Monitoring shipments, costs, timeliness and productivity
* Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues
* Manage relationship with all logistics partner in terms of accuracy, efficiency and service level
* Overall responsibility for timely, accurate and sufficient stock levels of products
* Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
* Developing processes that make logistics and distribution more efficient and organized
* Preparing the logistic analyses and proposing the most cost-effective way of working
* Handling Logistics for domestic and foreign outbound deliveries
* Supplier’s complaints handling regarding transportation and logistic
* Active monitoring and managing customer service level of the logistics partners
* Monthly Reporting: Logistic and inventory KPI’s / Export-import statistics
Responsibilities related to customer service:
* Customer service activities in logistics and distribution business
* Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
* Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints
* Processing orders, forms, applications and requests
* Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints
* Provide feedback on the efficient of the customer service process
* Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
Education: University degree and post uni formation preferably with relations to the Logistics or Business field
Experience: minimum 3 years of experience in logistics and customer service and at least 2 years of custom regulations expossure
Knowledge and skills:
* NON EU import export regulations in relation to Customs and if possible with transportation of good (Incoterms etc)
* Good knowledge of logistic, inventory, controlling and analysis processes
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Excellent customer service and client relationship skills
* Advanced MS - Office user
* ERP & WMS experience
* Fluency in English both verbal and written
