Position will be responsible for operationalizing our India-based Green Ammonia/Green Hydrogen projects from the ground up. This includes strategy, project execution oversight, operational systems design, safety, compliance, and long-term operational excellence. Position will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the company transitions smoothly from incubation to deployment, construction, commissioning, and commercialization of operations. This position shall be responsible for end-to-end responsibility of project planning, setup and execution of all projects in India per budget
Key Responsibilities:
Market Entry
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities in the Indian Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia sector.
- Develop robust business case by providing inputs on budgets, and CAPEX/OPEX estimates for project approval.
- Lead bid participation for government tenders and strategic private sector projects.
- Develop partnerships and alliances with EPC contractors and renewable developers.
- Form necessary consortium / partnerships for bids & tenders as required and approved by management
Renewable Energy Project Integration
- Ensure cost-effective renewable energy sourcing by designing and implementing an optimal mix of renewable sources to achieve the lowest possible levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH)
- Strategically plan and execute renewable energy project development (solar, wind, hybrid) forming the backbone of Green Hydrogen/Ammonia plants.
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Develop the operational roadmap for India-based Green Ammonia/Green Hydrogen projects from incubation through to COD (Commercial Operation Date).
- Lead planning, budgeting, resource deployment, and execution monitoring of operations-related activities.
- Oversee the interface between project development, engineering, procurement, construction, and future plant operations.
Project Management
- Collaborate with project development, engineering, and EPC partners to ensure constructability and operability considerations are embedded early.
- Monitor KPIs across timelines, budgets, safety, quality, and commissioning performance.
- Ensure use of project monitoring tools/systems/reviews to manage any project bottlenecks & ensure smooth operations
- Drive operational readiness of project including staffing, systems, and protocols.
Stakeholder & Government Liaison
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs and engage with central and state government departments, regulators, policy think tanks, and industry bodies.
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs and Advocate for supportive policies and incentives for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia adoption in India.
- Ensure all operations meet ESG standards, sustainability goals, and statutory compliance.
- Support investor and board communication by providing insights on operational progress and risk mitigation.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical). Master’s in operations / Energy Management / MBA preferred.
- 15+ years in large-scale renewable energy project development and execution, with additional exposure to hydrogen/ammonia or industrial projects.
- Stronge exposure of Renewable Energy Projects with some green fuel exposure is preferred
- Experience in greenfield project development/startups is highly desirable.
