Position Title :- General Manager (Insurance)
Qualifications:- Any Graduate; M.B.A.(Finance); insurance qualification preferred.
Experience :- 18 to 20 years in dealership insurance
Budget :- 24 to 40 LPA plus Incentives of 7 to 8 lacs, Car & Fuel
Reporting to :- CBO – Financial Services
Subordinates :- Heads of Motor Finance, Fire Insurance, Marine Insurance, Engineering
Insurance, Life Insurance.
Role Purpose :- Develop, grow & drive insurance business for the dealership organization.
Key Responsibilities :-
- Create and drive business growth strategies.
- Develop a business plan, with short term and long-term revenue goals with the help of the Strategy & Transformation team.
- Clearly define the focus areas for the business.
- Manage the overall operations and resources of the organization.
- Liaison with various industry experts to understand the best practices and norms.
- Design and drive the different processes for the business; (settlement, claims, buying).
- Establish the various insurance practices along with the existing standard systems and processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and other legal requirements are met in order to procure licenses for the different insurance practice areas.
- Liaising directly with insurers and underwriters to get the best deals for the company.
- Research insurance policies and products; negotiate policy terms and costs with insurance providers.
- Ensure that insurance cover is arranged for clients with the insurance provider.
- Providing day to day support to the reporting team.
- Support in quality improvement and other organizational initiatives for the organization.
- Promote Quality & Innovative Thinking and action among team members.
- Promote Value based leadership.
- Support & build an Employee & Customer Centric organization
Key Performance Indicators:-
- Ensure maximum (%) customer conversion as per the set target through the insurance business
- Achieve a revenue of ()
- Ensure upgradation and training of reporting staff on YoY basis with help of HR dept.
- Ensure no deviation from the processes and systems established
- Ensure Employee Happiness Index (score)
- Participate and Drive Organizational Initiatives (number)
- Knowledge of Liaising with banking sector.
Competencies:-
- Technical - Complete end-to-end understanding of the automotive insurance & retail finance
Industry.
- Understanding of the insurance banking industry (preferably automobile insurance financing as well)
