Main responsabilities:

• Work with HIA in the preparation of annual audit plan for approval by the Board of Directors.

• Work with HIA in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the Companies’ internal controls and processes/procedures.

• Work with HIA in the Development and maintenance an internal audit strategy for resourcing and delivery of services.

• Work with HIA in the preparation of QBR (Quarterly Board Report).

• Work with HIA in producing, developing and maintaining working papers in the Internal Audit Tool.

• Work with HIA to maintain an effective working relationship with external audit and relevant regulatory bodies. Liaising with external service providers for conducting co-sourced internal audit engagements.

• Liaise with Group Internal Audit (Milan) for Group projects and monthly/quarterly reporting requirements.

• Build effective relationships with management and stakeholders.

• Innovate ways of working by keeping up-to-date with leading internal audit best practices, learning from external quality assessments and participating in professional forums as appropriate.

• Performing ad hoc projects as required.

• Able to negotiate, persuade, influence and gain trust of others where no formal authority exists and can relate well to people at all levels with authenticity.

• Proficient at collaborative working with key stakeholders/Senior Management to realise the benefits of combined assurance.

• High aptitude for strategic/business acumen and critical thinking.

• Deadline driven

• Looking to develop long term career in Internal Audit.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills including strong report writing skills.

• Ability to work on its own with little or no supervision.

Experience and Qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ experience of external and/or internal auditing practice in a regulated financial services environment.

• An accounting or audit qualification (ACA, ACCA, and/or CIA) and preferably with ‘Big 4’ audit experience.

Language skills: Italian would be desirable, English fluent.
