Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of high-level activity parameters and guidelines along the application development phases; (1) requirements definition, (2) requirements identification, (3) design, (4) implementation, (5) testing and (6) application maintenance
- Supervise the development of a criteria to select, and evaluate third party IT vendors and applications based on application and functional requirements collected from Client's departments as well as technical specifications
- Manage the establishment of service level agreements with third party IT vendors in coordination with the Contracts section with clearly defined targets, and timelines to monitor contractual compliance and performance in the development and roll out of third party enterprise solutions and applications
- Lead periodic reviews and testing of the application landscape in order to ensure software and system functionality according to design parameters and business needs, adherence to best practice and latest industry developments
- Supervise the collection of timely feedback from relevant departments on the performance and suitability of applications to direct the process of developing application enhancements and manage their release to ensure that applications are operating in the most effective manner
- Lead the process of integrating IT solutions and software system components to ensure seamless operations and avoid the possibility of future malfunctions
- Support the Digital Ventures department in the set-up, rollout and maintenance of digital platforms and solutions based on configuration requirements in coordination with third party platform providers
- Manage and optimize the application portfolio by producing reports with recommendations on the lifecycle of applications (i.e. sustain, upgrade and retire) to present to the IT director in order to ensure that the application landscape of Client’s is fit-for-purpose Supervise the identification of potential eServices and digital opportunities to support with business process re-engineering in order to ensure that Client’s is leveraging on the full extent of IT value
- Lead periodic research in order to identify innovative and emerging solutions and technologies to improve service performance and reliability
- Perform other duties as required by upper management
Desired Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, with 5 years in a managerial position
- Expertise in overseeing the design, development, implementation and maintenance of software solutions and applications
- Experience of working with multiple third party vendors
