As the head of our IT infrastructure department, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, networks, and infrastructure within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading a team of IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of all infrastructure components.
2. Developing and implementing strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure to support business growth and efficiency.
3. Evaluating and recommending new technologies, hardware, and software to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.
4. Managing the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
5. Overseeing the deployment and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and data centers.
6. Implementing security measures to safeguard the organization's data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
7. Collaborating with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide technical solutions accordingly.
8. Establishing and maintaining relationships with external vendors and service providers.
9. Monitoring infrastructure performance and ensuring high availability and reliability of IT systems.
10. Developing and managing IT infrastructure budgets and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in a leadership role within IT infrastructure, with a strong track record of successful projects and initiatives.
3. In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, data center operations, and cybersecurity best practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
6. Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
7. Proficiency in IT infrastructure management tools and software.
8. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, CISM, or ITIL are a plus.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. A commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in IT infrastructure.
