Our Client is seeking a Head for IT Infrastructure & IT Services practice to perform the lead
role. The Practice Manager / Leader will be responsible for the company's IT Services Practice. The role
requires a very strong appreciation of various IT stacks including Servers, Networks, Security, Datacenter as well as SMAC. The Practice Leader will work with sales, delivery, operations, and partners /vendors to address the business, operational and technical requirements of the customers. He / She is required to work and collaborate closely with peers across practices to create leading-edge, innovative solutions for the customers which align technology with business. The ideal candidate is expected to be versatile and will handle practice development, pre-sales function, customer interactions, technical delivery ownership, and willingness to learn emerging technologies and build industry-leading solutions. This
is a leadership role with the successful candidate comfortable working with customers technically and commercially to deliver high-quality IT services on time and on budget. The team once set up will have Solution Architects, Pre-sales Consultants, IT engineers, and Implementation Consultants across various technologies within the team and extended organization. This position requires exercising independent judgment to perform the responsibilities described herein.Position Details & Responsibilities:
1. Own and execute plans to achieve order booking and revenue goals for the practice
2. Define Road Map for Technology related to IT infrastructure and IT Services, defining
strategy/Process & Solution Offerings
3. Strategize on Technology areas under the practice; Identification and management of Key
Alliances. This is a very crucial element cutting across the entire IT stack with a specific focus on
Server, Network, Datacenter, Cloud, Information Security, and other IT infrastructure elements.
4. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Assisting in all phases of the sales, pre-sales, practice
development, and delivery processes. Support in identifying, pursuing, and closing sales
opportunities, including proposal creation and presentation, is required.
5. Define & drive competence development for the practice working along with BU’s, Delivery
team, support team, and HR.
6. Estimate the project/solution development effort and resource requirements to put together a
competitive bid mindful of cash flow requirements.
7. Develop best practices for IT Practice and manage relationships with clients, vendor eco-systems
and all the internal stakeholders
8. Strong collaborative approach and ability to work with all the stakeholders while adhering to
tight deadlines in a highly dynamic environment. Especially important is the requirement to
work along with cross-functional delivery teams, software practice teams, supply chain, and
business units.
9. Represent the company in various Technical and customer forums on technology thought
leadership.
