My client is looking for an experienced full time IT Support Engineer to join their excellent independent team in Egham.
This is a permanent hybrid support role comprising a mixture of dedicated on site support, remote support and installation services paying up to £35,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for all IT support requests and queries for clients
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers, smart phones, tablets, printers and network
devices
- Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been
input promptly and accurately.
- Creating, maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Continuously improve knowledge and understanding of the software and hardware technologies used by clients
- Maintain a strong customer focus at all times.
Requirements
- Full UK driver's license
- High level of 2nd line IT support experience as well as excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience in the installation, configuration and support of desktop/laptops, various types of peripheral hardware (including printers, smart phones and tablets)
- Ability to problem solve within a technical environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to, occasionally, accommodate a non-traditional work schedule and remain flexible to meet the needs of clients
- Driven self-starter who does not require close supervision
- PowerShell or equivalent scripting languages and any experience of application deployment/automation would be advantageous.
