My client it a rapidly growing business in the food industry sector who supply their produce to high end fine dining restaurants and hotels (including Michelin starred!) I am seeking a new member to their procurement team the position of Junior Buyer. Candidates will need to have Food or FMCG experience.

• Responsible for maintaining and building relationships with existing suppliers
• Pursuing new opportunities with new suppliers to enhance the business position across multiple buying categories.
• Analyse data
• Identify trends
• Follow up on new item leads for Buyers
• Raising Purchase orders
• Input goods received on the system

Skills required:

• Have previous experience as a Junior Buyer or Assistant Buyer (within food ideally, although some FMCG categories will be considered)
• Previous experience within a similar position (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent organisational & numeracy skills
• Enthusiastic, positive and ambitious
• Good working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Able to thrive and work in a fast-paced environment
