For the business, which includes both physical shops and the internet, our client is searching for a Vendor Manager to lead Private Brand sourcing and growing activities inside private label product categories. In order to make sure we have the best vendor selection and vendor proposition for Pb's long-term success, the Vendor Manager will interact directly with a number of internal organisations. To improve the performance of chosen and strategic vendor partners, the Vendor Manager will draw on a broad range of abilities and work across key functional areas like category management, pricing, inventory management, supply chain, marketing, and finance. The Vendor Manager will aid larger Private Brands projects involving vendor interaction, vendor negotiations, and selection expansion.
This contract has a fixed period of one year.
Basic qualifications
- 1 years of buying experience within supermarket industry (Example: M&S, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Aldi etc..)
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools
Duties
* Lead cross-functional teams, communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, and accomplish tasks under pressure
* Perform financial analyses of potential company ventures to achieve and surpass revenue and profitability targets.
* Assist the larger AFPBI Vendor Management team with operational duties, helping to streamline procedures and produce outcomes.
* Monitoring and reporting on vendor performance, including profitability, service level performance, and forecasting.
* Ownership of key supply chain initiatives and marketing campaigns to meet corporate goals.
