Job Description
Key Skill Ask
- L2 support services team is the second in line to address WLAN Network incidents and service requests.
- They provide in-depth technical support and solve issues which cannot be solved by L1
- Members of the team shall perform a multi-functional role in support of customer problem resolution within defined SLAs
- Agents will be the second point of contact for the Customers and deal with the complex problems and inquiries that they may have, with an aim to either fixing the problem on the first call or triggering the most appropriate action
- To do this, tools will include the telephone, ticketing system, and specialized tooling and automation in support of the customers’ network services
Years of Relevant Experience
- 4-7 years of SD-WAN NOC support experience
Must Have Skills
- Good understanding of WAN technology ILL, MPLS, ISDN, VPN, etc.
- Good knowledge and Experience on SDWAN technology, deployment of SD-WAN solutions including head-end and handling operations - Cisco Viptela, Versa, Fortinet, Silver Peak
- Good understanding of IP addressing and routing protocols specifically BGP.
- Experience of IP operation, working on different monitoring tools and alarm management.
- Hands experience on router configuration
- Good analytic and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to understand, install, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues
- Linux OS basic skills including ssh, telnet, ftp skills
- Cross functional support and collaborate well with partner teams including corporate networking, facilities, security, IT, and logistics.
- Ability to support and follow standard processes, resolving with the SLA, documentation of NOC Operations Process
- Experience modifying configuration templates
- Experience in code repository solutions like Git, Mercurial, etc.
Certifications
- Versa SDWAN Certificate(preferable), CCNA, CCNP, Any SDWAN certification
Technical Skills
- Onboarding tenants and VNFs, ETSI MANO standards, TOSCA, REST API development, micro services and Linux environments.
- Knowledge with Linux Operating system & virtualization platforms (OpenStack, VMware, KVM, etc.)
- SDWAN Expertise on Versa / Viptela / Fortinet
- In depth knowledge of Network Function Virtualization ETSI and MANO architecture
- Knowledge with OpenStack Neutron and/or container networking
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash. Python
- Good working knowledge of Python threading, REST API
- Knowledge of various open source projects from various open source communities in SDN & NFV domain
- Good to moderate knowledge on IP Networking (CCNA), Routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP)
- Good knowledge on MPLS Layer 3 VPNs, IP Security Protocols
- Knowledge on networking technologies such as IP, MPLS, vLAN, VRF, VxLAN
- Experience on overlay tunneling technologies such as VxLAN, NVGRE, IPSEC, LISP etc.
Education Qualification Preference
- Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech ) in ECE, with related telecom NOC experience
Technical certification
- CCNA/JNCIA
- CCNP
Specific Domain Knowledge required
