The Company:

One of the leading brands in the automotive industry, our client is one of the regions leaders by volume. As the company has been steadily growing, more imports and service volume is happening and the legal requirements including sanction, tax and finance related challenges are constantly growing and getting more complex, the company has decided to set up its own legal function.

The Position:

As the single lawyer of the company you will report into the General Manager as well as the Regional Head of Legal based abroad. Your day to day tasks will include the following:

• Being responsible for all legal related transactions and tasks of the company this will include but is not limited to:
• Drafting and updating client and distribution agreements
• Drafting and updating supplier and service agreements
• Service agreements and spare part agreements
• All commercial transactions of the company
• Handling the relationship with the legal service provider
• Sanction related law
• Import/Logistics/Registration/Trade Mark related issues
• Employment law
• Compliance
• Litigation and court case where applicable

The person

With a university degree from one of the leading universities you have already gained experience in the legal team of an international company operating in Kazakhstan. You have been drafting contracts and dealing with all commercial in corporate law either from the side of a producer/distributor or working in one of the legal service providers.

As you will be dealing with HQ colleagues a good command of English will be very important. 

You like working independently and have self initiative - you dont wait until somebody tells you to do things. Finally, as the position is based in the lower part of town and you need to be working from the office, candidates will be preferred who live closer to our clients offer.
