Overall responsibilities and duties:

The System Engineer analyzes the stakeholder input specifications, defines the system requirements and communicates the system specifications to the relevant stakeholders. System Engineer is responsible for the overall traceability and coverage at system level. Supports Global team in preparing RFQ/RFI responses (by analysing the customer specifications, proposing technically fesibale and commercially viable solutions in the area of ADAS systems).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level & Experience:

• Master/Bachelor of engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science with prior experience of minimum 10+ years in development of ADAS Vision based Systems (i.e. AutoPark, Surround View)
• Automotive product development and testing methodologies knowledges (A-SPICE model)
• Knowladge of Functional safety and Cyber Security

Skills and competencies:

Must Have:

• ADAS Product System architecture knowledge including Camera, Display
• Experience in development of Vision based algorithms for Auto parking
  • Image transformation, image recognition, automatic parking route calculation, vehicle control
  • Interfacing Camera, display, implementation of video pipeline
• Experience in requirement management tools like DOORS, Reqtify
• Software, hardware, mechanical and optical domain knowledge applied to Automotive products specification and architecture
• Solutions used for automotive embedded developments
• Ability to work with international distributed teams (FCE and customers)
• High capacity of synthesis for technical issues
• Problem solving attitude
• Customer communication ability
• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) knowledge
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive industry in similar role
• Advanced written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Experience working on AI/ML  is nice to have
• Good to have knowledge of Fusion(Camera+Sonar) based application development
• Good to have knowledge of opengl, GPU utilization
• Experience of working in Scrum team in Agile methodology.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies the needs and analyzes the input specifications (customer, platforms, manufacturing, safety, regulations, etc.);
• Establish & Maintain the system Requirements Specification document;
• Identifies the System risks (and project risks caused by the System) and track them to closure;
• Make all system specification elements available to the project team;
• Establish and maintains the TRACEABILITY between stakeholder input specifications and system specifications;
• Participate in the estimation of the impact on system definition and related implementation workload;
• Organize reviews of the system specification with internal stakeholders (Electronics, Software, Mechanical, System validation teams, …);
• Leads the functional analysis (external and internal) and leads the decomposition of the system requirements into system elements and allocates requirements to system elements;
• Participate to the system architecture review (Technical meeting review) for traceability purpose;
• Supports the Program Functional Safety Leader analyzing the safety requirements from the Customer and defining the safety requirements of the project;
• Supports the Program Cyber security Leader analyzing the cyber requirements from the Customer and defining the cyber security requirements of the project;
• Participates to the system DFMEA;
• Assist with coordinating and conducting customer meetings to address requested needs;
• Considers and apply any lessons learned that are related;
• Participate to / support internal and external audits;
