Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Our client is a crowdsourcing platform that allows you to process big data. Customers post tasks and set a price for their performance, and performers choose the task they like. The platform helps collect and process data for services (Search, Drive, unmanned cars, etc.) and products from hundreds of third-party companies, including major global technology companies.

One of the new directions in the development of our client’s platform is in the loop, a unique system for improving the quality of markup using ML-algorithms. It requires research and development of automatic ML tuning and finding the best ways for ML methods to interact with humans.

Our client needs a strong ML specialist to technically lead this direction. We have a multicultural team - we communicate in English. The team includes authors of articles for NeurIPS, ICML conferences, and inventors with international patents.

What we have to do:

• Develop mechanisms to improve the performance of talkers by building deep learning models (deep learning);
• Build DL models that work across domains and taxonomies;
• investigate and build ways to retrain models without forgetting previous data;
• maintain and develop the infrastructure for running such models;
• solve the problems associated with processing big data;
• help developers structure their work and choose technical ways to solve complex problems;
• Build the architecture of the ML-model retraining system.

We expect you to:

• Have a university degree in engineering, physics and mathematics or science;
• Good understanding of mathematics and algorithms;

• Experienced at Python for implementing algorithms and running experiments.
• Experienced in developing the ML-based production ready systemsHave an understanding of ML and DL;

• Can argue your own point of view and hear the views of others in a reasoned and accessible way.

It will be a plus if you:

• Have worked with similar platforms as a customer or implementer;
• Have worked in or coordinated a data analysis and ML team;
• Have a degree or equivalent;
• have been involved in research and development activities;
• Have knowledge of basic Unix tools;
• Write in Python, C++, Java;
• Have worked with relational databases, know SQL;
• Have worked with MapReduce (e.g. Hadoop);
• know classical algorithms and data structures.
