Job Description
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Document Preparation:
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format various legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
Communication and Correspondence:
- Handle and prioritize incoming and outgoing communications professionally, maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
File Management:
- Organize and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring efficient document retrieval and storage.
Research:
- Conduct legal research using appropriate resources to assist in case preparation and support attorneys' needs.
Client Interaction:
- Interact with clients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
Court Filings:
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents with courts and administrative bodies, adhering to specified deadlines and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role within a legal setting.
- Solid understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to professionalism and client service.
