Job Title: Legal Support - Governance Specialist
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working)
Contract Type: Temporary (ASAP Start until Mid-November)
Pay Rate: £19.37 per hour (Equivalent to £40,300 per annum)
Role Overview: An esteemed organization is seeking a highly skilled Legal
Support professional to join their team on a temporary basis. This role, starting as soon as possible and running through mid-November, is crucial for assisting the Global Head of Governance with delivering top-tier governance services across the EU, UK, and LATAM regions.

Role Overview: An esteemed organization is seeking a highly skilled Legal
Support professional to join their team on a temporary basis. This role, starting as soon as possible and running through mid-November, is crucial for assisting the Global Head of Governance with delivering top-tier governance services across the EU, UK, and LATAM regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance Management: Review and enhance the governance structure, developing related corporate-governance documents and policies such as Governance Charters, Board Charters, and Terms of Reference in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Meeting Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end process of Board and Committee meetings, including scheduling, setting agendas, collaborating with stakeholders for materials, reviewing and distributing materials, recording minutes, and following up on action items.
- Organizational Efficiency: Ensure meetings are well-organized and productive, contributing effectively to governance and decision-making processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Entity’s rules and policies, and maintain close contact with the Compliance Function for updates on regulatory requirements.
- Training and Induction: Support the Board with Director induction and training as required.
- Project Support: Provide governance expertise for ad hoc projects and assist with the nomination and appointment of Board members to subsidiaries.
- Governance Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in governance practices.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and data to inform decision-making and assess the impact of governance measures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Experience supporting senior stakeholders, with proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and addressing governance issues, with practical solutions.
- Project Management: Effective management of governance-related projects and tasks.
- Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Chartered Secretary (Desirable): Chartered Secretary qualification (ACG or equivalent) is preferred.
- Preparation for Board/Committee meetings
- Facilitation of meetings and minute-taking
- Scheduling meetings and training sessions
- Refreshing Charters and Terms of Reference
- Interaction with stakeholders within the three lines of defense and legal teams
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Qualifications: Professionally qualified Chartered Secretary and Governance Professional (ACG or equivalent) or a similar qualification.
