Position: Life Services Analyst (Fluent Italian Speaker)
Role: Life Services is responsible for oversight, control, and strategic direction of all the branches regarding Company products, policies, and current investments. They are the “bridge” between the Product Team and the branches and have constant dialogue regarding the launch of new products and the management of existing products. They are responsible for tax as it relates to all Company products, the generation of the financial statements, flow reports, territorial split reports, and other such related reports.
Knowledge and experience of the life cycle of an insurance policy, innovation, optimization, and customer centricity are key. The role requires an understanding of all features of unit and index linked products including implementation, market launch, onboarding, post-sale administration, regulatory monitoring, and reporting. The candidate must be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines but maintain the very highest standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
· The successful candidate will have responsibility for monitoring a wide range of administrative and control activities in the branch, anticipating, or detecting problems and responding accordingly in the deployment of corrective actions
· Responsible to provide support to the branch in dealing with daily tasks, ad-hoc queries, and transactions
· Liaising with the company’s portfolio third party administrator (TPA) ensuring adherence to SLAs
· Coordinate with the branch the planning, testing and implementation of IT system new products, evolutive features and requirements
· Ongoing review of procedures and processes – identifying areas for improvements and implementing changes where necessary in relation to industry standards, commercial viability and ensuring they are fit for purpose.
Skills / competencies
· Experience in the banking and insurance industry or broader financial sector as an administrator or analyst.
· Computer Skills - Excellent PC skills especially MS Excel (to advance level incl. pivot tables, lookup formulae, data filters and other complex formulae), MS Word and various other Microsoft Office components.
· Industry Knowledge – Good knowledge of financial instruments, ideally life insurance products and relevant Irish and Italian regulations. Good knowledge of insurance structures and ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
· Data – Good understanding of data and its use as an asset to the business. Interested in the use of RPA, AI, Machine Learning and Analytics would be desirable.
· Proactivity and ability to prioritize tasks - The candidate must show flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines.
· Display Attention to Details in all aspects of work and relationships.
· The ideal candidate is self-motivated and focused on resolving issues quickly. The successful candidate is expected to be able to develop strong business relationships both internally and externally, have a good attitude to problem solving and strong ethical values.
· Strong oral and written communication skills – complete fluency in Italian and English is required. German or Spanish is desirable but not mandatory.
· Excellent numeric and communication skills both verbal and written.
· Insurance, business, or financial services qualification or studying for same. This is not essential but would be an advantage;
Qualifications and Experience:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience within an Insurance company, Bank, Fund / Asset Management, or FinTech focusing on a wide range of products.
· VBA/SQL is beneficial but not required.
· Bachelor's/Master's Degree
