Job Description
Location: Pitesti, Romania
Work model: On-site
Client context: our client operates a modern logistics facility in Romania and is transitioning from a single-client setup to a multi-client warehousing and domestic transport model. The business is focused on commercial expansion, operational stability, and long-term growth.
Role overview: the Warehouse & Domestic Transport Development Manager will take ownership of the commercial and operational development of the logistics site. The role combines client acquisition, contract negotiation, domestic transport development, and on-site operational coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and onboard new warehousing and logistics clients
- Develop and negotiate long-term warehousing and logistics contracts
- Increase warehouse occupancy and diversify the client portfolio
- Promote domestic transport solutions to existing and prospective clients
- Develop and expand domestic transport services and related processes
- Coordinate domestic transport flows and subcontractors
- Optimize transport routes, costs, and service quality
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including storage and cross-docking
- Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards
- Coordinate and support on-site operational staff
- Provide guidance and coordination to warehouse and logistics personnel
- Support gradual team development as volumes increase
- Track operational KPIs and prepare regular management reports
Candidate profile
- Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, or related commercial roles
- Proven exposure to sales, client negotiations, and contract management
- Experience with domestic transport operations is a strong advantage
- Prior people coordination or supervision experience
- Strong commercial mindset combined with operational understanding
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of site development
- Solid Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- English working proficiency required
- Driving license required
