For a 4* hotel in Milan, we are looking for a

Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, he/she is responsible for the effective management of engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation.
 

Main duties:

• Supervises the repair, maintenance and engineering operations according to the departmental standards.
• Coordinate and direct new projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
• Keeps a close inventory of engineering stores and maintains required inventory of essential parts to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitors closely the fuel consumption pattern and stock levels and takes corrective measures.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all plant and mechanical equipment rooms.
• Train engineering department staff on correct maintenance procedures and assists in repairs as needed.
• Avoids unsightly hazards and complies with all local regulations and codes.
• Regularly inspects the entire building with particular attention on defective or deficient life safety features and to observe closely the condition of all operating equipment.
• Executes Effective Management of Preventive Maintenance Programme.
• Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimise expenses.
• Reviews and approves all invoices and Purchase Requests involving Technical Services and installations, machinery, parts and audio visual equipment etc.
• Works closely with other Department Heads in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• Makes sure that Engineering employees work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.
• Assists the General Manager to prepare the annual Engineering budgets.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in international hospitality companies as Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
• Previous experience in leading a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and power Point
• Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
