About the Company: Opportunity with a global in-house centre (GIC). My client is one of the leading GIC in commodity segment and is in the agriculture business with operations in over 70 countries. The company is listed on one of the global stock exchanges.
Brief Description/Role Objective: This individual will be responsible for managing end to end financial reporting processes and accuracy of monthly financial transaction processing, reconciliation with GLs. Will also be responsible for cash and bank reconciliations, month-end processing/period close, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet review and for managing multiple stakeholders, respective teams.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure month close and reporting process (review) is well established and documented
- Journal entries are independently reviewed, validated, authorized, and properly recorded in the appropriate accounting period
- Ensure that financial statements of the Entity / BU handled adhere to the defined accounting policies
- Application of the entity’s accounting policies to each transaction and independently review for appropriateness
- Support in preparation of annual budget and operating plans
- Analysis and reporting actual v/s forecast numbers
- Ensure adherence to timeline and accuracy of SLAs
- All intercompany transaction reconciliations
Skillset and requirements:
Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in manufacturing sector and worked in a financial reporting role along with team management experience.
Sound knowledge of Ind AS and IFRS.
Should be well versed with SAP/ Oracle and SAP BPC/BO/BI would be an added advantage
Prior experience of working in manufacturing sector is a must.
