- Part drawing study with R&D & Vendor teams to make the same ok for manufacturing
- Preparation of process flow with vendor teams in line with BAL Std.
- Selection & development of forging dies, fixture, Tools & gauges – guiding vendor teams
- Guiding vendor teams to prepare process sheets, IPO’s and other process documents
- Designing of (cold / hot) forging Dies etc, conduct forging trials and process setting (thorough experience of using Forging Simulation Softwares is expected)
- Conduct trials along with Vendor teams and arrange for submission of ok samples to BAL
- Machining processes - Turning, Milling, drilling, tapping, Grinding, Broaching including CNC programming etc. and knowledge of Heat Treatment
- Development of samples including troubleshooting
- Cycle time estimations, provide details to Purchase team for PO generation & ensure capacity readiness as per Business plan
- Quality problem solving & process improvements thru ECRS & VAVE
