Job Description

As the Head of Production at a company specializing in two-wheelers (such as motorcycles or scooters), your main responsibilities would likely include:
Develop and oversee production schedules to meet demand forecasts and inventory targets.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Quality Control and Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality standards for all stages of production.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
Address and resolve quality issues promptly to maintain product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to optimize procurement costs.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or production timelines.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate production schedules to maintain adequate stock levels.
Address supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Lead the introduction of new products into production, working closely with design and engineering teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve production efficiency.
Liaise with senior management, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to align production activities with business goals.
Ensure ESG coordination with centre and ensure all compliances are met.
