Our client requires an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to join their team for a minimum period of 12 Months.
Role:
This senior Marketing role will drive brand and profit delivery for our clients' UK Automobile business. You will own the UK Automobile brand and customer journey strategies, tactics, and operations across national marketing communications to drive awareness, consideration, and desire for the Automobile brand in order to achieve commercial sales objectives. You will operate as a 'player-manager' performing both a leadership and operational delivery role for the Automobile business.
Main Responsibilities:
Own the development and implementation of annual strategic plans for national marketing which deliver against the mid-term direction and commercial requirements of the Automobile business. This will include the promotion of product launches, tactical campaigns, and brand and product awareness.
Leading the agency relationship to deliver paid media plans and creative direction across relevant channels to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion to meet our client's commercial objectives.
Represent our client at UK senior forums including sign-off meetings, product meetings, working groups, and sales reviews on all matters related to Automobile marketing communications.
The 'Automobile brand guardian' is responsible for implementing the Premium and Trusted brand strategy. Your approach should be appropriate for the UK market and consistently implemented across multiple marketing channels in order to grow awareness, consideration, and desire.
Through your team lead the deployment of customer journeys that will allow our client to reach conquest customers across marketing media.. Conduct continuous customer journey reviews to minimize cost per lead and maximize return on investment (ROI).
Lead and motivate a dynamic team of 2 direct reports, a substantial agency structure, and multiple stakeholders to deliver against your strategic objectives. Actively foster collaboration, innovation, and forward-thinking in your team to ensure maximum delivery and team success.
As a 'player-manager,' you will undertake a proportion of operational delivery work best suited to your specific skill set and the overall needs of your team. Currently, this is expected to be in the delivery of media plans and creative production. You will operationally own the creative strategy for the national paid and owned plans. This will include the origination of marketing and promotional materials for broadcast, digital, and CRM channels in addition to the adaptation of European asset toolkits. You are accountable for the investment of our client's multi-million-pound national paid media budget and its delivery against commercial objectives.
Overall responsibility for the governance and reporting of the company's UK Automobile business-as-usual marketing activity and budget. Responsible for continual review and optimization of channel performance against KPIs using the Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA) process to maximize ROI. Ownership of the budget process and associated documentation for Finance and European divisions
You will own the relationship between the UK marketing and European divisions on all matters relating to marketing communications. Through your positive and influential relationship ensure the needs of the UK market are fully represented in centralised production and timings. Operate a transparent and proactive communications approach to ensure UK direction and activities are fully understood.
As a 'key contact' between marketing and a vast array of internal stakeholders in the UK and Europe, and Finance Europe, as well as external franchise partners, your relationship skills and ways of working must be second to none. Our stakeholders must always feel supported, excited, positively challenged, and informed.
Work with Communication team members across all businesses to develop practical synergies that embrace prospects within our client's diverse and unique brand. In particular, work closely with the Automotive Digital Commerce team to ensure you are aligned and collectively delivering the optimum customer journey.
Qualifications, skills, and experience required/desirable:
Expert understanding of the current media and digital landscape. Either client or agency side. Experience in Automobile is preferable.
Strong team leadership skills with the ability to share vision and positively engage a team and substantial agency structure in delivering consistently high-quality results.
Innovative and creative with the ability to balance brand guidelines and the delivery of stand-out executions.
Strong planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and deliverables without sacrificing quality.
Commercially results-oriented with a positive appetite to push the business forward through marketing innovation.
Strong communication skills and excellent presentation skills that simplify the complex and gain support for bold plans.

Financially and commercially astute with previous experience in significant budget management.
